Top 7 Android Font Apps for Instagram Stories and Posts 2019

Let's face it, the built-in fonts in Instagram barely cut it. There are just five options, and if you post half a dozen stories a day like me, you must be bored of them already. The good news is that it's quite easy to add a bit of flavor to your Instagram posts and enhance your stories with unique stylized fonts. Throw a cool GIF into the mix, and you'd have a fresh story in a matter of minutes. Also read:mp3 torrent

How to Save Instagram Photos and Videos on Android Phones

In this post today, we will look into useful font apps for Android that will let you experiment with different styles.

This article bifurcates into two sections. The first section delves into graphic design apps and the second section concentrates on dedicated font generators — they let you copy the stylized text and paste on Instagram.

Let's get started!
1. ADOBE SPARK POST

When it comes to enhancing social media images, Adobe Spark Post is one of my favorite apps. It comes loaded with a variety of features which can make an image go from good to fab with a few taps. And needless to say, it bundles plenty of typefaces and styles.

So all you need to do is open a post or choose one from the hundreds of free stock photos. Once done, tap on Font and the wonderful world of font types and styles will open up for you.

Naturally, you can test some funky fonts like Mountain and Storybook. You can further tweak them by shape and size.

Once you have crafted your template, all you need to do is save, and add the resulting image to your Instagram story or post.

2. CANVA

Another cool app is Canva which is available for both iOS and Android. The sheer number of font styles can be a bit overwhelming initially. Ok, I went a bit overboard, but you get the idea. The best thing about it is that you can choose the type of template (Instagram story or post) beforehand.

Once you select a proper background picture, all you need to do is pick the font. You can either search for your favorite font directly or choose one from the drop-down menu.

Canva offers more solutions than Spark Post in the sense that you can tweak the line height and size as per your liking. Once you make the necessary selections and changes, save the image, and share the same over Instagram. Yeah, you can thank me later.

3. TYPOGRAPHY MASTER

Launched in July 2018, Typography Master is one of the newest kids on the block when it comes to fonts and typefaces. And it's remarkable how many styles it accommodates under its roof. From cool vector graphics to background shapes — it lets you test with an array of styles.

The good thing about this app is that you can fit the image according to the aspect ratio of the posts - 3:4 or 4:3. Once you select the aspect ratio, tap on the Text icon to start.

My only complaint is that the app shows full-screen ads and that can get in your way at times.

4. PIXLR

Though Pixlr is more of a photo editor, it has a cool side to it. It houses a variety of fonts in different styles and effects. You can choose from retro designs to new age funky ones. You can also adjust the opacity of the text as well as the color.

My only gripe is that there's no option to choose the background text shape. Make sure you download all the styles in advance to explore a variety of options.

5. COOL FONTS FOR INSTAGRAM BIO

It's time to look at the dedicated font generators. The first one on our list is Cool Fonts. It has free as well as paid designs, using which you can customize your Instagram stories and posts.

Cool Fonts' styles are based on Unicode

As we mentioned previously, you have to write the text, change the font and then copy the text to Instagram. Cool Fonts' styles are based on Unicode which means that your followers will be able to see the text irrespective of the platform. As the name suggests, you can also elevate your Instagram bio with these cool fonts. Being a free app, you'll see ads from time to time.

6. TEXT FONT GENERATOR

Well, the name pretty much gives away the app. Text Font Generator is similar to the above apps and lets you experiment with quite a few different designs and formats. All you need to do is enter some words, and the app will generate a variety of stylized text for you.

Its advantage is that you can see all the variations in a list. That's much better than selecting a particular font and then checking the result. Also, the number of fonts is limited to 30.

If you are in a mood for some fun, you can try out the Random Generator tab. It places a few funny characters before and after the text. It took me on a nostalgia trip to my Orkut days (remember those crazy testimonials?).

7. STYLISH TEXT

Stylish Text takes the same road as the above two apps and is a yet another font generator. Its advantage is that you can also use the fonts on WhatsApp directly. And, if your phone runs Android Oreo, you get to unlock a couple of more options.

Using this app is straightforward. Type a message, and the stylized text will be available instantly. If you like a particular stylized text, tap on it and then press the Copy icon.

PRO TIP: On WhatsApp, you must first select your text, tap on the three-dot menu and then pick Stylish Text. Choose an option, and you'll be good to go!

STYLIZE YOUR STORIES!

Agreed that Instagram has added a bunch of new features over the past year, but they are not enough. If you have a business page or a public account, it's advisable to have a dozen companion apps to produce incredible social media images. And while you are at it, don't forget to check out a couple of awesome quote making apps.

Coming back to the topic, what do you prefer? Dedicated font generators or graphic design apps?
