How to Download and Install macOS Catalina Beta 3 on Mac

A backup of your data stored on Mac is crucial; therefore, you have to ensure you make an archived backup of your Mac with Time Machine. You are going to make an important change in your Mac, and this indeed calls for a backup as you might run into some problems.

It’s time to download macOS Catalina developer beta!

Step #1. On your Mac web browser, launch developer.apple.com. Apple may ask you to log in with your developer account.



Step #2. Click on the Download button, which is seen at the upper right corner.



Step #3. After entering your developer account details, scroll down and click on Install Profile for macOS Catalina 10.15.



This will download a file automatically on Mac; the file will be saved in the Downloads folder.

Step #4. Go to the Downloads folder → double-click macOS DeveloperBetaAccessUtility.pkg to run the installer.



When the download completes, you will be alerted to install it. Click on Continue and Agree to Terms and Conditions. Then, click on Install.

Next, follow the instructions to install macOS beta 2. Your Mac will restart to install macOS.

After your Mac has restarted, macOS will be installed.

Click the () Apple logo in the top left corner → Select System Preferences → Click Software Update.

Here you can see the macOS 10.15 Catalina dev beta option. Click Upgrade Now→ Continue → Agree → Install. The installation process will start. It will be a smooth and normal run.

The developer beta 3 of macOS Catalina may contain a few bugs, and you have to deal with them. However, you can report such bugs to Apple on its forum.
